This interview is not about a high-class professional, or industry influencer, or a CEO. It is about a man who loves what he does and does what he loves.

So, meet John Toutkaldjian, a 90 year old amateur photographer and a Filter Forge artist.

John Toutkaldjian

– How long have you been using Filter Forge?

Since your first product release, I believe.

– How did you learn about it?

Internet browsing.

– What did you need it for at the beginning and how do you use it now?

I was attracted by the frames and have used them extensively.

I'm now using your various filters. I discovered your distortion filter and have created abstract art from photographs, some of which I have enlarged to 24"x36" canvas wraps. Here are a couple showing the original photo and the abstract I created. I am awaiting a tapestry with an abstract conversion.

– What are your favorite filters?

I'm in love with Paint HDRtist, at the moment.

– What functions are you missing in Filter Forge?

I would like to stack filters, but don't see the function tools. That's assuming it can be done. I would like to do toning (lightening and darkening), opacity control, also.

– Can you please send us a couple of your artworks?

A few are attached. These show the photo and the abstract that resulted from your distortion filter.
