This component is obsolete and its use in filters is not recommended. Use the recent version of the component.
The Checker component generates a checkerboard pattern. The color of the checks can be customized using the Color 1, Color 2 and Solid Fill parameters. This is a map component, it can be located in the Patterns category on the Components Bar. Checker is a discrete component: any filter that uses it is automatically classed as a discrete filter. This component can output HDR colors.
Color 1 and 2: Map Inputs (HDR)
The Color 1 and Color 2 parameters define the two colors of the pattern. To set any of the colors for various image areas separately, connect a map component to the corresponding input. In this case, the final color of a check is also affected by the Solid Fill parameter. These inputs can accept HDR colors.
Specifies how many times the checker pattern is repeated horizontally. The actual number of repetitions within the output image is also affected by the global parameter Size and the image width. For example, when Repeat is 3, Size is 600 pixels and the image width is 1200 pixels, the pattern will be repeated 6 times within the image width.
Specifies how many times the checker pattern is repeated vertically. The actual number of repetitions within the output image is also affected by the global parameter Size and the image height. For example, when Repeat is 5, Size is 500 pixels and the image height is 1000 pixels, the pattern will be repeated 10 times within the image height.
Determines the way the checks are colored. This parameter has any effect only when a map component is connected to the Color 1 or Color 2 inputs. When Solid Fill is turned on, each check is colored uniformly: its color is taken at the central point of the check from the image provided by the corresponding Color input. When Solid Fill is turned off, the images provided by the Color inputs are 'seen through' the checker pattern.
When turned on, rotates the pattern by 45 degrees.
