Multiblend

This component is obsolete and its use in filters is not recommended. Use the recent version of the component.

The Multiblend component blends together multiple layers (colors or images) provided by the Layer inputs, taking into account their alpha channels and Opacity values using the Normal blending mode. This is a map component, it can be located in the Processing category on the Components Bar.

Layer 1, Layer 2, ..., Layer 7: Map Inputs

These parameters provide the layers for blending: Layer 1 is the bottom layer (the background), and the following layers are 'placed' over each other, with Layer 7 being the topmost (the foreground) layer.

Opacity 1, Opacity 2, ..., Opacity 7: Map Inputs

These parameters specify the opacity of the corresponding layer. The value of 0 makes the layer completely invisible. The value of 100 makes the layer fully visible. The actual visibility of a layer in the output image is also affected by alpha channel and Opacity values of all layers.

Since these are map inputs, their values can be controlled separately for different image areas by connecting a map component. In this case, its output image serves as a mask: its black areas correspond to Opacity of 0, white areas to Opacity of 100, and the opacity values in-between are represented by intermediate brightness levels.
