The Pixel X slave component outputs the integer X coordinate of the pixel that is currently being rendered by its master Result component. The coordinate is encoded as an HDR color where the RGB values represent the coordinate. For example, RGB of 450, 450, 450 means that the X coordinate of the pixel currently being rendered is 450. All RGB values are always identical, and the alpha channel value is always 1.0.
This slave component can be connected to the subtree of any input of the Result component. Note: when connected to the subtree of the Height input of the Result component with the Filter Type parameter set to 'Surface', this slave component does not affect ambient occlusion.
Also, generally slave-to-master connections must not be routed through any bitmap-based components, but the slaves of Result are an exception: see the 'Using Slave Components' section in the help article for Result.
For general information about slave components, see Slave components.
