The Curve Editor dialog allows you to draw a freeform Bezier curve of arbitrary shape. This dialog can be invoked from the Settings tab in Filter Controls, as well as from the Curve Control and Bezier Curve components in Filter Editor.
You can form the curve shape by dragging one or more anchor points or a handle along the editing area. You can select multiple points while holding down Shift or Ctrl.
To add an anchor point double-click somewhere in the editing area, or click in the editing area and press Ins, or click in the editing area and click the Add Point button. To remove a point select it and press Delete, or select it and click Delete Point.
These parameters allow you to set the behavior of the curve outside the editing area. To set separate continuation patters for the left and right side unlock the Rightward listbox ny clicking the lock icon. You can make the curve periodic by selecting the Periodic checkbox.
When a point or a handle is selected you can modify its options in the lower right corner of the window. You can select the anchor point type, or set the length and angle of a handle. You can also fine-tune the location of a point or a handle.
