The Gamma tab of the Options dialog lets you adjust the parameters affecting the way Filter Forge handles gamma correction. The Options dialog is accessible by choosing Tools > Options from the Main Window menu.
This option ensures that all images are encoded in monitor gamma after they are loaded into or saved by Filter Forge. If the gamma of the image you load or save differs from the value specified by the Gamma parameter, the image will be gamma-corrected. This is the default mode for people who just want their images to look consistent with other image-editing applications.
This option allows images to be loaded into and saved by Filter Forge "as is", without performing the gamma correction on them. This mode can be useful for people who perform bitmap-based computations that require the pixel RGB values to be left intact.
Specifies the gamma value to be used when the Gamma Correction enabled mode is selected.
