Filter Forge 7.006 – Numerous bugs fixed

Alexandria, VA, USA (December 12, 2017) – Filter Forge, Inc. today released the first maintenance update to Filter Forge 7.0, a popular Photoshop plugin that allows users to create their own filters. The current update 7.006 fixes multiple issues.

How to update: To download and install the update 7.006, select Tools > Updates from the Filter Forge main menu. Users who do not want to use the built-in update feature can download and install the update manually from the download page. The update preserves all downloaded and user-created filters, as well as user settings and the license key.

List of Updates, Additions and Fixes

Platform-independent:

  • Switching the filter type from Surface to Simple no longer throws an error.
  • Changing order of inputs no longer shows connection warnings.
  • Fixed a crash with recent images in Color controls.
  • Fixed an RNG discrepancy between the Windows and Mac versions.
  • Fixed a crash after submitting filters.
  • Minor issues fixed.

Windows-specific:

  • Right-clicking the component bar no longer switches the focus out of Filter Editor.
  • Fixed a crash in Curve Editor under classic Windows themes.

macOs-specific:

  • Filters now correctly open in Filter Forge 7.0 when multiple Filter Forge versions are installed.
  • Fixed a crash when selecting View->Show message log or Show Components.
  • Cmd+Enter now correctly applies changes in the Script editor.
