Tallinn, Estonia, February 7, 2025 — Filter Forge OÜ today announced the commercial release of Animator, a desktop application for Windows and macOS that allows Filter Forge users to create keyframe animation from static filters. Animator doesn't require Filter Forge to operate and is compatible with all Filter Forge filters. Animator works in a similar way to other keyframe animation software suites but is tailored to Filter Forge filters. Users need to choose a Filter Forge filter, select filter parameters that will be changed during animation, and define keyframes that will act as pivot points for the selected parameters — the program will automatically create intermediate frames between them. In addition to simple linear interpolation between keyframes, Animator supports 9 other interpolation methods like exponential and cubic. The final result can be rendered as a sequence of images, an animated GIF, or a video file.
