Alexandria, VA, USA (November 30, 2006) – Filter Forge, Inc. today released the update 1.006 to the beta version of its flagship software, Filter Forge, and announced that the release of the final commercial version was postponed until the first quarter of the year 2007. The core of this update is Vista compatibility. Filter Forge now works under Windows Vista and, except for several minor problems, is stable and fully functional. However, additional work is required to include Vista into the list of operating systems officially supported by Filter Forge. This is one of the reasons why the release of the final commercial version of Filter Forge, originally planned for the end of the fall 2006, has been postponed until the first quarter of the year 2007. Users who wish to extend their beta licenses can request new license keys via the contact form at http://www.filterforge.com/contact/ How to update: To download and install the update 1.006, select Tools > Updates from the Filter Forge main menu. The update preserves all downloaded and user-created filters, as well as user settings and the license key.
