As you already know in the new Filter Forge 4.0 one of the main new features is the Loops and recursions although this is not an simple and easy to use component as other available, and this is why is on the advanced part.
This is a very powerful and that has huge amount of possible uses IF you understand how it works and how to use it in the right way, so I want to make this thread to begin to learn more about this new, important, amazing and awesome component. Want to make it so that anyone from the forum could share any comments, advice, experiments, tips, suggestions, filters containing loops, and anything related to this topic. SKYBASE GREAT AND WELL DONE VIDEO TUTORIAL The best way to start learning about Loops component after reading the link above is to watch this great, useful, helpful and easy to follow video tutorial that kindly Skybase has made The Loops Video Tutorial by Skybase Part 1 Here after will make a compilation of the best filter I have seen that uses this Loops component |

from this thread here
Regretably, there is NO part2 for the awesome and very useful and interesting Loop video tutorial that is very helpful and useful is a great pity that he could not make the second part or any other additional videos, as it would be really very helpful and useful fr om a great expert like him and he knows very well how to make tutorial videos Of course that I would never ask to Skybase to do it, as he is the one who decides to do it or not, and he does it for free, so we can not force in any way him to do it if he can“t, or does not want. |

All I can say right now is "one of these days." To be frank, these were taking up huge loads of my time... a single tutorial sometimes took me about 2 or 3 days to properly get done with all steps easy-to-follow, doable, and logical. Making demos that made sense was also quite tricky, these demos needed to demonstrate ideas as much as showing the practicality of each node.
Overall it was very taxing on my end and I was doing it for the benefit of the community but getting little to nothing in return. But was it bad? No, I did receive your warm thanks, occasional commentary, and some shoutouts which keeps my mind afloat about this idea for another tutorial. I personally rather work for the benefit of somebody else than profit... but reality isn't that simple. So from my end if I were to shed some light into my thinking, I'd do paid tutorials from now on. Would I do it? I don't know yet. A few things are happening that's going to help here: firstly, I'm leaving my fulltime job as a designer at a company. Secondly, I'm going to have more time to do stuff I always wanted to. One of them is just making tutorials like the ones mentioned here. So I'd say there's a likely chance but I will make no promises. PS: It appears that the forums displays my real name instead of Skybase. So if you were wondering who the heck was talking it's me! ![]() |

I'll start with the end of your post, the PS. It seems that this thread is a little mixed up, as I don't see my first posting, only a quote from it.
I know that preparing and making a tutorial involves way more effort and time than anyone who has never done that can imagine. Most viewers take it for granted. That is too bad, because the makers have input a lot of effort to help others. Being very new to FF (though I've worked with MAX, which in an Audio and Midi application to create interesting stuff in a similar way), the tutorials I have seen and read have helped me already quite a bit. So I am really grateful for them, and maybe I can pay back down the line to the community by making a tutorial as well. But first I need to catch up and learn. Which is great fun. It's a good sign that this community is so alive and responsive. Thanks to all and especially to the MAKERS. Cheers, Beat The Stone Age did not end because they ran out of stones. Niels Bohr |

Is RGBLand defunct? I would totally follow it. Cool stuff.

Skybase has given me the link to RGBland in another post. It's great.

I have made the filter that Skybase is shown on the excelent, useful, interesting and very well done loop tutorial and decided that as I had the filter that is built in the tutorial, maybe it would be useful for someone else so here it is
You can connect the Randomizer, if wanted, to any of the components to see what happens Skybase Loop Tutorial.ffxml |
