Hi,
I've been searching but there is no way to rotate an image is there? I only need to rotate 90 it degrees so it should be an easy process. gr... Ron |

Hmm - I thought that I had submitted, my snippet for 90 degree rotations a while ago, but it looks like I didn't. Well, I will do so now, but for the moment here's a link to the file:

Hmmm...
...got home and tried it but that 'Size/pixels' slider (resulting in repeating Profile gradients) got in the way again (nice effect though). I could of course use your scaling snippet and not use the 'Size/pixels' slider but that would be a bit double... besides, there's no way to disable the 'Size/pixels' slider. oh well Ron |

My solution for the rotation is still quite coarse - I'm pretty sure that it is possible to roate an image by 90° with just a single offset map - the only question is how to generate that map. The Pixel Size slider is a problem and I thing there should be an option to disable it.

Another question about rotation is can full rotation be done without a lot of hoops. Here is my full rotation soulution.
http://www.filterforge.com/filters/736.html It has a lot of hoops. It does work oddly but it works. Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Hi.
Amazing. You Guys are just great. You all seem to understand the relationship between gradients and offset to give the required effect. I wondered if anyone could point me to tutorial on this stuff. All I can find with Google is SVG. Or maybe I am searching for the wrong words. Ken |

Ahh rotate without the zoom. Nice job

A bit more than that actually...... Also, the angular rotation is completely linear - 0%->100% is 0->360 degrees exactly. ![]() In the example 67% = .67 x 360 = 241.2 degrees. Although, if you count components as "hoops", then I did use a few more. ![]() Rô _________________________________

This is also the cool part of your filter that I like over mine. Although, if you count components as "hoops", then I did use a few more. Well kind of a little of both the above. The filter that I made has a little less components. The result I was shooting for was complete rotation where someone could simply take say for example the tiles component. Connect this instead of the image component and boom you can now rotate the tiles 360. Having less components would also mean less clutter and possible render times reduced, if possible. Agreed, but until the FFFolks release a "Rotate" component (Vladimir? ![]() Seems that we now have three alternatives: - Simple: Rotation, exact, 90 degree increments only (see above); - Medium: Rotation, using manual adjustments, any angle ("Rotate Zoom2"); - Complex: Rotation, exact, any angle ("Rotate All Angles"). I did make a distortion of sorts with Rotate Zoom2 Not quite the same effect which is cool since they are different. But both fun to play with.
