Thanks to Fred (Sign Guy) for the idea..
Still trying different types of masking effects for this one but nothing really works 100% perfect without some PS or PSP intervention.. 
Also working on a non-square version also..Still need to get a good working type of mask first...  Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Yeah, a stand-alone mask/selection tool would be nice..... 
Maybe you could just have this one work with PS and PSP.....and have other versions intended for artistic use. I think Craig's selection filter started to get into some usable concepts for this..... Steve

hmm I was also thinking about the non-square version could be used for the filters that just won't work with the FF seamlessness.. Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

How did I miss this one!!!! Holy Cow man!!! I take back everything good I have said about any other filter and give it to this one, I mean really!
The only thing I have with this is that you can see a blurred diamond in more detailed images, so I altered it a bit and think the outcome was nice. Take a gander at this! Seamless Tile Concept.ffxml |

I think Uberzev's Real Bomber might be incredibly useful for creating tiles from photos or graphic images also. Any plans to add it to the library?

I take it you like this one Redcap...
That modification looks good..Ya unfortunately the masking diamond doesn't look so good with some images...But it blends in good with others..Its a play with it and see how it comes out kind of filter...But still decent results.. Will be interesting Fred to see Ubers Real Bomber in action... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Here is a non-square version of this filter if anyone wants to mess with or improve on it.......Again using threedees snippet for the non-square bit..
You will need to adjust the image with the adjustment controls for aligning the seams for the image... Seamless Tile non-square.ffxml Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Here is an updated version if anyone is interested...This is for FF2 ONLY....I have streamlined the process and have used all non-square components so this is for all types and sizes of images...There are controls to tweak the position of the images but the default usually works good......

I dunno how I missed this. I just started messing with something similar, this is much better than what I made. It's results look better than the Redfield seamless workshop plugin for Photoshop too. Release the Mongoose! |

It was in the snippet category..But there are other gems in the library as well.
Thanks MK...I remember using that plug-in years ago..
Mine was actually based on another ps plug-in that had the same approach... I have submitted this new version as a new filter so version1 will still be there.... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |
