Here are some results of the new version:

I know there is another similar filter, Color Cast Removal by Ken, but all I get from that one is an image with the negative color cast.. The "algorithm" used in the new version, is an adaption of a technique I use in Photoshop. If anyone has a bad color cast picture that doesn't work out well with this filter, I'd like a sample of that pic so I can finetune the filter
Gradient casts probably won't work well, but I have some ideas in that regard.. |

New version gives better control over saturation brightness make-up (see update details).
The horse image can be adjusted much better now, notice how the background is much less over exposed:

yup, that's better. the horse is also better, not as much of that white fog/haze on him.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
