I just took it for a test drive.....and I like how this filter migrates and flares the noise from edges.....and doesn't fill the solid areas with it. Nice Creative Work!!! smile:)

i'm not completely happy with this one yet, but posted it anyways. i may re-work it. i think i've lost some of the original irridescence i was going for and may also need to re-balance the lighting. one of CF's filters gave me a clue to how i may approach this later on. i think it might have been a mistake in taking out your original curve and tone curve. i'll re-look at it again later on.

Nice pic, Carl smile:) Illustrates what I really like about this filter.....nice artistic middleground between soft lens and comic book....

Kraellin, I think you're right about the curves. I have not been able to get irredescence without them on my filters.....

Another trick I've learned for irredescence is NOT to preseve color on certain components.....sometimes it works....and sometimes it doesn't by putting refraction lines in it or shifting color beyond your control.....

very nice, carl. i like that.

steve, well, the filter of CF's that i was referring to was neon nights. that one has some interesting ideas in it that i may borrow. and of course, your filters too smile:)

Wow, I just went and looked at CF's Neon Nights....and that's quite a coincidence.....because I'm currently working on a filter that does something somewhat similar by turning all edges into neon glass tubes on a black background. I've been having some common denominator problems with it.....and seem to be stuck at the momment.....
