FilterForge 5.0 crashes on license key entry

I purchased FilterForge 5.0 earlier this year. It ran and performed great. Since than, I upgraded my hardware and have been doing clean installs for all of my software. When I launch Filter Forge (in either the stand alone app or in Photoshop CC 2015) and proceed to enter my license key to unlock the Trial Version, the app crashes as soon as I enter the first character (regardless of whether I try to enter the License Name or License Key first). I have tried this multiple times, have gone and deleted all files and re-installed FF 5.0, as well as restart after installation, etc... Still no dice.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what was the resolve? I have added no new software from what I was running previously when it worked fine. I have even just ran the Trial Version for a day and than when I go to enter my License, I get the same thing....

Yes, CFandM. I am working with the latest DMG from their website. Version 5.009
