When I try to open the filter "Rolled Roofing" in Filter Forge, I get a prompt stating that I need v2.0 or higher installed...
WELL... I HAVE 2.008 Pro, so what's the problem? |

You need to perform the upgrade to 2.010 or whatever the latest version of 2.0 is.

I tried that, but the upgrade actually DOWNGRADED my FF to a "demo" version with an EXPIRED trial period! My license key from 2.008 Pro doesn't work for 2.010... so what's the deal? Do I have to RE-BUY Filter Forge?

No, your licence for 2.0 is still good. I'd suggest contacting support via the contact tab on the top of this page.

I've tried un-installing, re-installing... nothing works!
I had to uninstall 2.010 and re-install 2.008 just to have a working version! I can't open ANY filters from the website... even those NOT marked "2.0" ![]() ![]() |

I always download the exe unto the computer and update it that way...I never update any other way... If that did not work try as tiger said and contact the FF support...Remember "stupid things happen on computers for stupid reasons at stupid times"..You can quote me on that..

I tried updating using both methods (from within FF, and with downloaded .exe)
Nothing is working... extremely frustrating! At least I have 2.008 working again, but can't get any more filters. Wish I would have downloaded more, sooner! |

Actually Tomkat i just recently downloaded the latest library package (1.2gigs), of filters. It is not free the cost is 19 dollars US, but in my opinion well worth it.
As you get over 8 thousand filters. At least that way you will have all the available filters up to now. Until you get help from support anyways. ![]() Rod

![]() Yes, the best kept secret of the direct link to buy ONLY the Library. I had also the same question before and you can read about it in this thread http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...5&TID=8589 |

I just ordered the filter library (finally).
I assume I will receive a link to a download via email... Does anyone know how long it takes to receive it? |

Please check your email – I assume we've already sent emails to everyone who ordered today. Please also check you've got the latest 2.0 version (can be found here.)

Well, that was a total waste of money, as Filter Forge now will not run after installing (copying) the filters into the "system" directory as instructed!
![]() It pegs out my processor at 100% (probably because it's trying to read a directory with 8000+ filters in it), but never runs. |

Is there any way I can do the following?
1. Use Filter Forge website to find a filter I'd like to use... 2. Note the filter number... 3. Then copy and paste the matching filter from my HUGE purchased/downloaded library folder into FF's "system" library folder. That way I can keep only the couple dozen filters I'm actually using in the system folder, rather that 8000+ filters, which is bogging my processor to the point wh ere FF doesn't run! I actually tried this, but the "copied" filter did not show up in FF when I re-started it. Is there something I'm missing? There MUST be a manual way to add individual filters! |

It seems like that should work, the copying & pasting just the ones you want into the FF system library folder....

I got it to work, but I cleared out the entire filter folder, and just added 1...
I will keep adding additional filters, as needed, until I reach the point where my system starts bogging down again, then I'll start over. ![]() |

Well, that's kind of odd that ya hadda empty the folder first, but glad to hear you did get it to work out.
