This springs from the discussion a filter that is posted here: http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...0&TID=2695.

It looks like the Offset module is causing an odd result in this filter, when using a rectangular image. What is more odd is the result looks okay when viewed on small preview windows in any of the modules that make this filter, including the Result module. But, the final preview window has a problem, as does the result when the image is rendered.

A work-around is to make the input image square. But this should not be needed.

Profile Gradients only work properly on perfect square images. FF is totally based around seamless tiling, so any image that is not perfectly square, is gonna have issues.

Not exactly true. It works just fine with non-square images. This problem appears only in filters that use discrete components:
