You know, what I am really missing is to set up a list of my favorite filters to be visible to the public. Finding filters is like digging in a vinyl store, there are some really good filters that did not become editor's pick for some reasons and fell into oblivion. Once you find them you are really happy and intrigued by the idea and techniques being used.
If we were able to set up some kind of favorite lists on the user profiles we could see what filters other users endorse. So I could imagine something like a user's favorits. Also, since this list could get really long, why not have users present their favorite filter-, let's say 'playlists'. Just searching filters by popularity has become boring for the long-term filter forge users, we know them too well already, but there are always little gold nuggets that others do'nt know. I would love to know which filters Skybase, Crapadilla, Totte, Indigo Ray and all the other hardcore users love and browse their favorite lists. I hope to find the time to show a mockup of how I could see this implemented in the forum. Maybe I am the only one, but this would be something really awesome. |

This is a good suggestion but I'm afraid our CMS can't support that. However you can simply create a new thread in the "Comments on filters" forum and list your favorite filters.

Nice. I'm too young to have much experience with record players, but I like this analogy. It's fun to browse and discover and play with filters from the library, right? If you want to draw attention to your favorite undervalued filter, you can always "bump" it by posting a comment in its comment thread. Maybe post a picture that uses that filter. Be reasonable about it. ...It's something, at least. (maybe I could do this more often?) Ok, to tease, you know how some old couples still remember the first time they met? I think the first filter I came across, before I even knew what a "filter" was, was this gem. Edit: Let me add, with my deep knowledge of forum shenanigans ![]() |

Cool, see I did not know that. Still too bad that they can not implement this feature in the forum. I guess we will stick to those methods then.
I also remember one filter that back then blew me kind of away because the idea was so simple yet implemented so good: https://filterforge.com/filters/6839.html I was so intrigued by all the tricks to make it look real, I found this one truly inspiring back then. |

Has been suggested before. [1] [2]
I'm afraid we won't see this until we get a complete library and website overhaul sometime in the far future though. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Too bad. I think seeing other user's favorites would be the best thing since the invention of Filter Forge! But I should have known that I was not the first asking for this. I will have myself frozen in a cryogenic tank then and wait.
