it would be nice if we could upload .ffenv files to the forums. i know the file size here has been raised to 500k and i also know most .ffenv files are going to be larger than that, but i do have a few that would fit within the 500k limit. thus, it would be nice if we could share those here on the forums. (even nicer would be a larger file size limit! smile:) )

Sorry to ask but I do not know what a FFENV file is

Is it FF Environment ?

Even then I do not know what kind of file this can be

Perhaps thinking of the forum size limitations, you could put them inside another external server and put the links in the forum, so this way you can share as many of FFENV (whatever this is) files as you want.

FFENV files are lighting environment files, or HDRI maps.
In the lighting tab of the preset settings you have the Church, Entrance day\night, lobby, etc. maps that give different lighting results.
One can make his\her own maps, and use them, but untill now, there's no official way to share them.

Has anyone here ever made their own lighting environment in FF?

I once found a nice yummy HDRI image I liked, and did HDRI import. After over an hour of it doing it's import thing I got fed up and quit.

Mongoose, how big was the delicious image? If it's over 400x400px, it could take days to import smile:cry:

guys, the point is to be able to post here, in the forums or at least on this website so that we dont have to depend on if some remote website is going to be there tomorrow or not.

also, mongoose, take a look at this thread: http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...&TID=10036 .
