The HDRI Import dialog allows you to import a high-dynamic range image to be used as a lighting environment (see the Lighting Tab tab for details). The dialog is accessible by choosing Tools > HDRI Import from the Main Window menu.
HDRI File – Specifies the HDRI file to import. Keep in mind the following:
- Supported HDRI formats are OpenEXR (.exr) and Portable Float Map (.pfm).
- Filters that use imported HDRIs cannot be submitted to the Filter Library.
- The minimum image size is 2x2 pixels.
- The image size cannot exceed 2000x2000 pixels.
- The recommended image size is between 400x200 and 1000x500 pixels.
- The imported image must be in latitude/longitude format.
- The import process is slow, so you can make yourself a good cup of coffee.
Display Name – Specifies the name under which the imported environment will appear in the list of environments on the Lighting tab.
