File
New Project... Creates a new blank project. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Open Project... (Ctrl+O) Loads a project from a ffproj file. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Recent Projects... Shows the list of most recently opened projects. Up to 9 recent files are listed. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Save Project (Ctrl+S) Saves the current project with all filters, artboards and imported images, into a single ffproj file.This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Save Project As... (Ctrl+Shift+S) Shows the system save dialog allowing you to save the project under a different name. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Close Project Allows you to save all, or some of the Render Channels at once. See Export Dialog.
Export... Allows you to export all, or some of the tabs and their corresponding Render Channels to files. See Export Dialog.
Save Image As... (Alt+S) Saves the image rendered in the current tab to a file. To select specific tabs for export, use the File &qt; Export command.
Render History Shows 20 recently opened source files together with the filter that was applied to each file. Click any menu item to reload the source image and the corresponding filter.
Render Animation... Opens the Render Animation dialog. This command is only available for animated filters. See Render Animation dialog.
Exit Exits Filter Forge.


Edit
Copy Image(Ctrl+C) Copies the current rendering result to the system clipboard. If the preview size is set to Reduced, a reduced image will be copied.
Paste Image(Ctrl+V) Loads an image from the system clipboard as a new source image.


Source
Blank Image... Opens a Blank Image dialog which creates a blank source image of the desired size, fill color and transparency. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Open Image... Loads a source image from a file. This command is available in the standalone mode only. See Image component.
Recent Images Shows the list of most recently opened images. Up to 9 recent files are listed. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Built-In Previews... Shows the list of factory images to be used as a source image. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Open Video or Sequence... Loads a video file or all sequentially-numbered image files in a folder. Filters will be applied to all video frames or images in the sequence. This command is available in the standalone mode only.
Selection... Loads a selection image from a file or from a built-in preview image. See Selection component.
Recent Videos Shows the list of most recently opened video files or image sequences. This command is available in the standalone mode only.


View
New Tab (Ctrl+T) Creates a new blank tab next to the current one. You need to select a filter from the filter list to see an effect.
Duplicate Tab (Ctrl+D) Creates a clone of the current tab. The duplicate will contain the same source image, the same filter and the same preview settings.
Rename Tabs... Allows you to assign custom names to tabs. They will be used as file names during Export.
Close Tab (Ctrl+W) Closes the current tab. The last remaining tab can't be closed.
Zoom In (Ctrl+Plus) Zooms the Preview in.
Zoom Out (Ctrl+Minus) Zooms the Preview out.
Actual Pixels (Ctrl+Alt⌘+⌥+0) Sets the zoom level to 1:1 so that the image pixels correspond to screen pixels directly.
Zoom to Fit (Ctrl+0) Sets the zoom level so that the Preview shows the entire image.
Show Border (Ctrl+B) Shows or hides the borders of a seamless texture. If Seamless Tiling is turned off, this command is unavailable.
Show Original (Ctrl+R) When turned on, the Preview shows the unmodified source image.
Preview Size Allows to reduce the preview size for faster rendering.
Find Filters (Ctrl+F) Searches for filters in the local filter storage.


Animation
Next Frame (]) Moves the Timeline playhead to the next frame. This command is only available for animated filters.
Previous Frame ([) Moves the Timeline playhead to the previous frame. This command is only available for animated filters.
10 Frames Forward (Shift+]) Moves the Timeline playhead 10 frames ahead. This command is only available for animated filters.
10 Frames Back (Shift+[) Moves the Timeline playhead 10 frames back. This command is only available for animated filters.
First Frame (Ctrl+Shift+[) Moves the Timeline playhead to the first frame. This command is only available for animated filters.
Last Frame (Ctrl+Shift+]) Moves the Timeline playhead to the last frame. This command is only available for animated filters.


Filter
Add to Favorites Adds the current filter to the default Favorite folder (usually My Favorites).
Locate Category Opens the category for the found item in the search results. This command is only available for filters in the Searches list.
Locate File (Ctrl+L) Opens the folderdirectory where the .ffxml file of the current filter is located.
Delete (Del) Deletes the current filter or Favorite. Deleting a filter from Favorites deletes only its shortcut and does not delete the filter itself.
New (Ctrl+N) Opens the Filter Editor for creating a new filter.
Edit (Ctrl+E) Opens the current filter in the Filter Editor. For details, see the Creating and Editing Filters section in Main Window.
Submit to Library... Opens the Submit Wizard for the currently selected filter. This command is available only in the Custom Filters category.
Import into Project Imports the current filter into the open project. This command is only available in the project mode. See Importing Filters into Project
Anti-aliasing Sets the level of anti-aliasing for the current filter. See Anti-Aliasing Menu.
Render Channels Allows you to render bump, diffuse, normal and other render channels. See Render Channels Menu.


Tools
Updates... Checks the server for new versions of Filter Forge.
Filter Updates... Opens the Filter Updates dialog which lets you download updates to previously downloaded filters.
Backup Filters and Settings... Allows you to save the entire Filter Forge environment – filters, presets, favorites and other settings – to a single backup file that can be restored later. See Backup and Restore Your Filters and Settings.
Restore Filters and Settings... Allows you to restore the entire Filter Forge environment – filters, presets, favorites and other settings – from a previously created backup file. See Backup and Restore Your Filters and Settings.
HDRI Import... Opens the HDRI Import dialog which lets you import custom environments for the Lighting tab.
Options... Opens the Options dialog where you can configure Interface Options, Filter Editor Options, Rendering Options and Online Options.
